Darts is a game that lends itself to tournament play. We will run double-elimination tournaments where teams can play in a “winners bracket” until they suffer a loss. They are then transported to a “loser’s bracket” where they continue to play until they suffer a second loss, or win the tournament.

In championship tournaments, the winner is the first player to reach a certain number of sets. The winner of a set is decided according to the best of 3 legs where a player must win 2 legs, to win the set. The number of sets varies depending on the tournament.

These are the simplest of games. Each player starts with a score of 501 or 301 and takes turns throwing 3 darts. When it comes to the actual score, it is calculated and then deducted from the player’s total.

RULES, REGULATIONS, AND PRIZES WILL BE COMING SOON…

In the 501 darts, the two players compete to reach 0, in other words, to eliminate 501 points from their scoreboard.  However, there are some situations and other important 501 darts strategies during the game that must be mentioned more in detail.  One important rule to consider is if a player does not exactly hit the score of 0 with their final throw, their turn ends and their score returns to what it was at the beginning of their turn.  For example, if a player needs to have a score of 32 points and the first dart hits 16, while the second one ends up being a 17, the player is bust, which means his score is being returned to 32.  It is also important to note that the player is not obligated to throw all three darts – a player can win on the first or the second dart of the turn.

You – Drive participants may also enter, but will need to make special arrangements.
