MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS DONATION PROGRAM

MAKING MUSIC IN MANITOBA

The Great Musical Instruments Donation Program

 Campaign for the underprivileged.

Help us create this unique program

and we will donate to you an Exclusive VIP Card and a 16″ x 16″ octagon tile will be displayed from opening day of our venue for a period of 1 year, with your name and photo.

How many used instruments sit in closets or under beds?

Our goal is to get donations of gently used instruments and put them in children’s hands. Giving children who may not have the resources the opportunity to play an instrument can be life-changing! We will hold these drives in cities across Manitoba & Canada and help children fulfill their dream to play music.

Donating Your Instruments

When you donate an instrument ...

you will get an email with a picture of the child that receives it so you can see the smile that you bring. You can change a child’s life and start them on a lifelong musical journey.

Music City Manitoba will be collecting and distributing instruments including brass, woodwinds, strings, electric keyboards, drums and other percussions, as well as amps and accessories.

Whether you have an instrument that you would like to donate or are a music teacher with a talented and committed student who can not afford their own instrument, we look forward to working with you.

We will deliver everything from guitars and trombones to violins and xylophones to kids in every town in Manitoba.

We hope to collect and redistribute more than 500 instruments annually and we hope to become a full-time force for good in the musical community.

We plan on organizing ...

street musician concerts to benefit the homeless, dedicated to expanding opportunities in music for children.

In the next five years, we hope to place more than 2500 instruments into the hands of aspiring musicians. Children whose trajectory has been altered by the uplifting and life-changing gift of music.

We will accept instrument donations in any condition.

While we prefer instruments in playable condition, we can repair and/or refurbish most instruments to give them new life.

Sorry, we cannot accept upright pianos or organs.

Depending on your location, we can usually have a volunteer pick up your instrument.

If we don’t have a volunteer or drop-off location in your town/city, we will ask you to send the instrument to us.

Your donation is tax-deductible and we will provide a receipt.

Music City Manitoba collects and distributes instruments including brass, woodwinds, strings, electric keyboards, drums and other percussions, as well as amps and accessories.

Our greatest wish to have some of the children that receive these instruments, on the stages of Music City Manitoba, performing for us, as a direct result of your caring and generosity.

We hope to look back with satisfaction, joy, and gratitude at the number of instruments that we will have distributed in the future. At the same time, we will be humbled by the knowledge that our outreach would not be possible without the generosity and commitment of the community of volunteers, supporters, donors, artists, and musicians who contribute time, resources, and talent. They are the life force that flows through Music City Manitoba and we would not be able to give the gift of music without them.
